On the pages of our website you can find quite a lot of information about a variety of concept vehicles. Unfortunately, the vast majority of these concepts are not destined to see the light neither now, nor even in the distant future. However, there is good news, the famous company Hyundai with all seriousness has recently announced plans to make some of their innovative concepts a reality. As a part of the Ultimate Utility Vehicles program real prototypes of wheeled vehicles, based on the TIGER and Elevate concepts, may appear.
As part of the aforementioned program, New Horizons Studio, based at the University of Montana campus in Bozeman, will receive $20 million in funding over five years. The money will be used to build a production and research facility, where 50 new employees will work on the practical implementation of the ideas laid down in the initial concepts. The first project will be an autonomous vehicle based on the TIGER concept, and the second will be a two-seat vehicle based on the Elevate concept.
The ultimate goal of the Ultimate Utility Vehicles program is the development of off-road vehicles capable of driving on absolutely any kind of surface, which can then be brought to the commercial market.
